Norman, OK - The No. 6 Golden Bears men's gymnastics team captured two titles in the individual portion of the MPSF Championships, held in Oklahoma's Lloyd Noble Center. Senior Graham Ackerman took top honors in the floor exercise, while freshman Tyler Block finished first on the parallel bars.

Ackerman's score of 9.725 was good enough to capture his second consecutive floor exercise title, having finished first in the event in 2004 as well. Junior co-captain Shawn Mowry finished third in the event, posting a score of 9.300.

Cal received an impressive performance from Block, whose 9.350 on the parallel bars propelled him to first place in the event. Ackerman's 9.150 was good for a third place finish.

Senior Jay Yee had a productive day, coming up just shy of first place in two events. His 9.750 earned him second place on the still rings, while a 9.600 placed him second on the pommel horse.

Ackerman came close to capturing a third title on the high bar, where his score of 9.600 earned him a second-place finish.

The Bears will next compete at the NCAA Championships, April 7-9 in West Point, NY.
