BERKELEY - Cal completed its 2010 spring football practice on a warm and pleasant afternoon at Memorial Stadium with a crisp one-hour practice that was the final of 15 team workouts that began on March 10.
"We improved through spring," Cal head coach Jeff Tedford commented after the practice. "We're nowhere near where we need to be, but I thought a lot of guys got better each day and that's the objective, to try to put some things in and get some young guys in the rotation."
Cal opens its 2010 season vs. UC Davis on Saturday, Sept. 4. The upcoming campaign will be the final year with the current configuration of Memorial Stadium and also includes visits from Arizona State, Colorado, Oregon, Stanford, UCLA and Washington during a seven-game home schedule.
