Tamir is second on the Bears in scoring with 11.5 points per game. He is also shooting 35.2 percent from three-point range (25-for-71), averages 3.8 rebounds and has 33 assists. Tamir's best game came against Oregon when he finished with a Cal freshman-record 39 points.
Sampson has started 27 of 28 games this season and is the Bears' leading rebounder, pulling down 6.7 rpg. He is scoring a 7.1 ppg rate and has 48 blocks on the season, the fourth-highest total in school history.
Arizona's Salim Stoudamire was voted Pac-10 Freshman of the Year, while UA teammate Channing Frye and USC's Errick Craven rounded out the five-player unit.
Sam Clancy of USC was named the Pac-10 Player of the Year. He was joined on the all-conference squad by Jason Gardner (Arizona), Luke Walton (Arizona), Chad Prewitt (Arizona State), Jason Kapono (UCLA), Casey Jacobsen (Stanford), Curtis Borchardt (Stanford), Freddie Jones (Oregon), Luke Ridnour (Oregon) and Doug Wrenn (Washington).
Cal's Joe Shipp earned honorable mention status after averaging 14.3 ppg during the regular season.
Ernie Kent, who led Oregon to the Pac-10 title, was voted Coach of the Year.
