Kops-Jones' Pac-10 Singles Championship Televised

BERKELEY - Cal fans will have the opportunity to watch Cal senior Raquel Kops-Jones make Golden Bear history this week when Fox Sports Net Bay Area televises her singles title victory in the 2004 Pac-10 Individual Championships. The men's and women's championship title games will be aired from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. this Friday, April 30.

Kops-Jones became the first women's player in Cal history to win the Pac-10 singles championship when she defeated Stanford's No. 12-ranked Alice Barnes, 6-3, 6-4, in straight sets on Sunday. Kops-Jones was phenomenal at this year's Pac-10 championships, blasting through the competition with five consecutive straight-set match victories, culminating in Sunday's singles title win.

Fox Sports Net Bay Area will re-broadcast Kops-Jones' 2004 Pac-10 Singles Championship on Saturday, May 1, from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
