BERKELEY - California head football coach Jeff Tedford has added a new entry to "Tedford Talk," his official online blog at www.CalBears.com. The Golden Bear coach talks about the fine line between winning and losing, the amazing atmosphere at Memorial Stadium last weekend and the challenges of going on the road in Pac-10 play.
"This past weekend was a very successful one for us because we came out with a win over Michigan State," Tedford writes in his latest entry. "We're very fortunate to be 1-0, but we have much more work to do and more development is needed. The important thing was that we responded to adversity, the team played together and worked together and trusted in each other that we could get it done. Nobody is ever going to play a perfect game and everyone is going to make mistakes. The mark of a successful team is the one that minimizes and overcomes the damage from those mistakes and remains focused on the ultimate goal, which is winning the game."
