NORRISTOWN, PA - The 1999 University of California women's water polo team (28-7) had four athletes honored as The American Water Polo Coaches Association All-American Team was announced.

Cal's leading scorer, junior Colette Glinkowski, was named first team All-American, while senior captain Melanie vonHartitzsch and junior Heather Petri garnered second team All-America honors and sophomore Beth Irwin was an honorable mention All-America selection.

Glinkowski finished the season with 64 goals and has now tallied 154 goals as a Golden Bear. Earlier this season she was named Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Co-Player of the Year. VonHartitzsch was Cal's second leading scorer with 38 goals and was named team MVP. Irwin and Petri ended the '99 campaign with 34 and 33 goals, respectively.
