BERKELEY - Senior wideout Chase Lyman, who hauled in five catches for a career-high 176 yards and tied the Cal record with three touchdown receptions at Oregon State, has been named the Pac-10 Offensive Player of the Week.

Lyman had all three of his TD grabs in the first quarter when the Bears built at 21-7 lead. His first score came on Cal's opening drive, an 11-yard toss from quarterback Aaron Rogers. Then on Cal's next possession, he turned a halfback pass from Terrell Williams into a 79-yard touchdown. Lyman and Rodgers hooked up again with seven seconds left in the period for a 31-yard TD.

The three touchdown catches matched the school record held by several other players, most recently tied by Bobby Shaw vs. Oregon State in a three overtime affair in 1996.

Lyman's 176 yards were also the 11th most for a Cal receiver in a single game.

For the season, Lyman has 12 catches for 386 yards and five TDs, giving him a 32.2 yards per catch average.
