Thomas Henninger Finishes Ninth on the One-Meter Board at Zone E Diving Championships

2010 Zone E Championships One-Meter Final Get Acrobat Reader

AUSTIN, TEXAS - Cal junior Thomas Henninger turned in a solid performance Friday (March 12) at the 2010 NCAA Zone E Diving Championships in Austin, Texas, placing ninth on the one-meter board with a score of 578.25. Henninger, a native of Glenside, Pa., advanced to the final of the one-meter competition after recording a mark of 291.70 in the morning preliminary round.

On Thursday, Henninger had finished 20th on the three-meter board with a score of 268.50. The platform competition for the Zone E Diving Championships will be held Saturday, March 13.

Henninger had recently placed seventh in the three-meter board Feb. 26 at the Pac-10 Diving Championships in Federal Way, Wash. with a score of 302.45. In the one-meter board at the Pac-10s, he scored 314.65 to secure an eighth place finish.

The top divers from the Zone E Diving competition advance to the NCAA Swimming and Diving Champions, March 25-27 in Columbus, Ohio.
