Berkeley - Cal will host its annual Pro Timing Day this Wednesday afternoon and it figures to be an important day for several Cal prospects who are being evaluated closely by the NFL scouts.

Twelve different Cal players will partake in a full slate of weight room testing and 40-yard dash and agility drill timings on Wednesday. Cal will also hold a second Pro Timing Day on the following Wednesday, March 22.

Among the players who will be watched very closely by the scouts are a trio of Cal players who attended the NFL scouting combines in Indianapolis two weeks ago. Deltha O'Neal, Sekou Sanyika and Matt Beck all attended the combines, but none of them was tested in the 40-yard-dash in Indianapolis. All three are expected to be drafted during the NFL Draft April 15-16.

O'Neal has been projected as high as a late first round pick by some scouting services to a third or fourth rounder by others. Beck has also been projected as a late first rounder or second rounder, depending on his physical condition coming back from a foot injury he suffered in the Nebraska game in early September. Sanyika is projected as a mid-round draft selection, but could elevate his status with a good showing on the testing day.

Others who will be tested this week include Jerry DeLoach, Pete Destefano, Drae Harris, Damian Marzett, Keith Miller, Jeremiah Parker, John Romero, Mawuko Tugbenyoh and Joshua White.

Among the former players scheduled to also be tested are former Cal player and NFL All-pro linebacker Ken Harvey, quarterback Mike Pawlawski and tight end A.J. Kunkle.
