Three Golden Bears will be competing at the World Rowing Championships in Eton, Great Britain, this week, and two of them have already begun racing for their respective countries.
Scott Frandsen finished third as part of the Canadian four in heats Sunday with a time of 5:52.54, just missing out on a trip to the semifinals. However, his team will have a chance to move on after competing in a repechage later in the week.
In addition, Nitto Simensen is a member of the Norwegian double. The twosome placed second to France in Sunday's opening heat, 6:13.97 to 6:15.70. As a result, they will need to go to the repechage round in order to advance further in the championships.
The third Bear at the regatta is Marko Marjanovic, who will row bow for the Serbian pair with cox, and he will race later in the week.
