In his final home game, Eric Vierneisel scored a career-high 20 points and grabbed a career-best 7 rebounds. He also tied the school record for most three-pointers made without a miss, going 5-for-5. Amit Tamir also shot 5-for-5 from behind the arc vs. Arizona State on March 2, 2003.
Senior DeVon Hardin tied his season high with 18 points, 16 of which game in the first half. He also grabbed 13 rebounds, his best total since getting a personal-high 16 at Nevada on Nov. 28, 2007.
Cal outrebounded Washington, 38-30 -- the 20th time this season the Bears have won the battle on the boards.
With 19 points, Ryan Anderson moved into 24th place on Cal's career scoring list, now with 1,119 points. He passed Andy Wolfe, who had 1,112 points from 1946-48. Next up for Anderson is Butch Hays, who finished his career in 1984 with 1,145 points.
Cal shot 10-for-22 from three-point range, making 10 three-pointers for the first time since getting 11 vs. Arizona State on Jan. 17.
Cal was also 20-for-25 from the free throw line to raise its season rate to 77.8 percent, which is the highest in school history.
After going 8-1 at home in non-conference action, the Bears were 2-7 in Pac-10 games in Haas Pavilion.
Cal averaged 8,249 fans per game in Haas Pavilion this season.
