(BERKELEY) - An interview with junior quarterback Zach Maynard conducted by Roxy Bernstein and Jason Page on Wednesday afternoon is scheduled to air on 95.7 FM The Game at approximately 8:30 p.m. PT, on Wednesday, Nov. 23.
In his first season as Cal's starting quarterback in 2011, Maynard has completed 193-of-346 passes (55.8%) for 2,565 yards, with 16 touchdowns and 11 interceptions for a 126.95 passer efficiency rating. After suffering arguably his worst start in a 31-14 loss on Oct. 29 at UCLA (14-30-4-199-0), Maynard has put together three consecutive efficient games by combining to complete 43-of-75 (57.4%) passes for 526 yards and four touchdowns with only one interception. He has thrown for at least 200 yards and completed at least 15 passes in eight of his first 11 starts, including each of his first seven contests and his most recent game at Stanford when he was 20-of-29 (69.0%) for 280 yards and two touchdowns without throwing an interception. He has either thrown or run for a touchdown in 10 of 11 contests, with the only exception coming at UCLA, while both throwing and running for a score three times. He has also rushed 71 times for 107 yards and three touchdowns. On three occasions, he has rushed for over 35 yards including a career-high 52 in the season opener vs. Fresno State. He had a career-long 43-yard run against the Bulldogs and a 39-yarder at UCLA.
Cal (6-5, 3-5 Pac-12) closes its regular season on the road by playing Arizona State (6-5, 4-4 Pac-12) at Sun Devil Stadium this Friday, Nov. 25. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:15 p.m. MST/7:15 p.m. PST. The game will be telecast live on ESPN and ESPN3

After playing Arizona State in the regular-season finale, the bowl-eligible Bears will wait to learn their bowl fate until selections are made on Sunday, Dec. 4.
Cal hosted its 2011 home contests at San Francisco's AT&T Park but is scheduled to return to a renovated Memorial Stadium to play its 2012 home schedule.
