Berkeley - Cal punter Nick Harris enters the third game of the season as the nation's No. 1 punter. The 6-3 junior is averaging 49.17 yards on 12 punts thus far. He is followed in the national standings by Dan Hadenfeldt of Nebraska who has a 48.65 average, Andrew Bayes of East Carolina with a 48.64 average, Joey Pelfanio of Kansas at 47.67 and Steve Fitts of Illinois at 46.67.

As a team, Cal is ranked No. 9 in net punting with a 41.6 yards per punt average, despite a blocked punt that diminished the team average greatly.

Deltha O'Neal is ranked in a pair of categories, ranking tied for 5th in interceptions with an average of 1.0 per game and is 9th nationally in kickoff returns with a 31.67 average. Chidi Iwuoma is 12th in the NCAA in punt returns with a 15.3 ypr average.
