Avery Gee (Floor) Gee is making her NCAA West Regional debut this season, competing in the floor exercise. Gee is also the second alternate for the all-around competition and will compete in all events should two athletes withdraw from the event. Gee has a regional qualifying average of 9.815 on the floor this season, tying her for 18th among the West Region's gymnasts. Her season-best score of 9.850 came in the Washington and Illinois State meet. She has five marks of 9.800 or higher for her floor routines this season.

Bridgette Glass (Bars) Glass will be making the third and final trip to the Regionals of her Cal career. Glass qualified to compete in the bars and is an alternate for the beam competition. Glass is currently ranked 20th in the West Region with an average score of 9.7494 on the bars. She earned a season-best 9.850 at Michigan State. Glass will compete in the beam should anyone withdraw from the competition. She has a 9.767 average on the beam, which was her stronger event last season. Glass scored a season-high 9.875 on her beam routine in Sacramento, the highest score of the season earned by a Bear gymnast. Glass also posted a 9.875 for her vault against Arizona State.

Last year, Glass competed on the beam at Regionals, scoring a 9.825 to finish 11th. In 2007, she scored a 9.750 on the beam at the Regionals. This will be her first time competing on the bars at Regionals.

Sophia Hocini (All-Around) Hocini will be competing in the all-around at the West Regional. Hocini was the Bears' top all-arounder this season. She had the top all-around mark for the Bears in every meet this season but the season-opener against UC Davis and Sacramento State. Hocini is 11th in the West Region with an average of 38.582. This is the third trip for Hocini to Regionals. Last season, she finished ninth in the All-Around with a then career-best 38.700. She finished 14th on the vault (9.775) and 28th on the bars (9.625). In 2007, she scored a 9.775 on the vault and a 9.625 on the beam.
