(BERKELEY) - A total of 105 Cal football players reported Friday on the eve of the team's first 2011 training camp workout. The players' orientation day consisted of meetings, interviews, equipment room checks and physicals.

Head coach Jeff Tedford and several Golden Bear players sat down to conduct interviews with Comcast SportsNet Bay Area and the Cal Sports Report for preview television shows that will debut on Aug. 23 and Aug. 30, respectively.

"I'm really comfortable and confident about the chemistry of the team," head coach Jeff Tedford said. "I think we're going to have a great camp. I think they're eager to work really hard, and that's where it all begins." was on hand to catch up with several of the Bears upon their arrival and here's what five of the seniors had to say the day before beginning the final training camp of their Cal career.

"Fire, we're going to come out with fire putting four quarters to a game, with high intensity, high impact and explosive plays," Marvin Jones said about the team's preparation for its 2011 season. "It's intense. Everybody's trying on their shoulder pads and helmets, and getting ready."

"I would say the best part of camp is just hanging out with your whole team," Justin Cheadle said. "Knowing that you are going through something tough and hard together, but at the same time also enjoying it doing something we love to do and just enjoying each other's company the entire time."

"The best part of camp is just getting together with all the guys," Bryan Anger echoed. "There's some new kids coming in so you also learn about some new kids. It's fun to meet new people and just get together with all the guys again."

Mitchell Schwartz had some advice for players just beginning their Cal careers.

"The first camp you've got to get the playbook down," Schwartz said with emphasis. "The coaches understand that there's a steep learning curve for the young guys, but at the end of the day the mental mistakes are really not acceptable. You have plenty of time to learn the stuff you need to learn."

"Nap," Sean Cattouse answered with a chuckle when he asked what he does to pass the time when he's not practicing. "Naps and treatment, that's about it."

After playing the last 88 seasons and every home game at Memorial Stadium since the facility opened for the 1923 Big Game, Cal will host its home games outside of Berkeley for the first time in 2011 while Memorial Stadium undergoes an extensive renovation and retrofit.
