Los Angeles - Raquel Kops-Jones, currently ranked 26th in the country, lost in the opening round of the main draw of the ITA Riviera All-American Championships today, dropping a 4-6, 6-2, 6-1 decision to UCLA's Megan Bradley.
Kops-Jones was Cal's last competitor in the tournament, whose main draw began this morning in Los Angeles. She had advanced through the qualifying rounds, the top seed to emerge from the two day competition which begain on Tuesday.
Cal's doubles were eliminated last night, when Kops-Jones and her parter, Carla Arguelles, were ousted from the second round by Washington's Claire Carter and Dajira Klaic by a 3-8 score. The team of Christina Fusano and Nicole Havlicek dropped their first round match to Baylor's team of Katja Kovac and Vita Mulec by a 1-8 margin.
