Known for his non-stop motor and relentless work-ethic ... selected to play in the 2007 Hula Bowl.

2006: A second team All-Pac-10 selection ... earned the team's Joe Roth Award (for courage, attitude and sportsmanship) ... finished the regular season with 32 tackles and 5.5 sacks ... collected three tackles, including a key sack on fourth down, in Cal's 45-10 Holiday Bowl victory over Texas A&M ... also recorded three tackles, including a sack, in the Big Game victory over Stanford ... blocked a punt to lead to a Bear touchdown and also earned a sack against Washington State ... had four tackles against Oregon ... secured his third sack of the season at Oregon State ... had four tackles, including two sacks with forced a fumble against Arizona State ... recorded five tackles against Tennessee ... credited with three tackles against both Arizona and UCLA ... missed much of the Washington game with a quad contusion ... preseason All-American by Street & Smith's ... listed on the Watch List for the Hendricks Award as the top defensive end in the country.

2005: Earned second-team All-Pac-10 honors ... his 38 tackles were second best among the down linemen ... was a handful at Oregon, where he had seven tackles, including four for 11 yards in losses ... had 1.5 sacks for 10 yards in loss against the Ducks ... another standout effort came against Arizona when he had five solo tackles, two tackles for seven yards in losses and a blocked field goal ... his 10 tackles for loss tied for the team lead in 2005 ... had eight solo tackles against Oregon State ... credited with a quarterback sack against Illinois.

Community College: Earned Junior College All-America first team honors from the JC Athletic Bureau/California Community College Football Coaches Association and landed on JC Gridwire's All-America second team ... despite being double- and triple-teamed all season, corralled 59 tackles, including 16 sacks and 23 tackles for loss for club that etched an 8-3 record in 2004 ... voted the league's Defensive Most Valuable Player ... SuperPrep ranked him the No. 3 defensive end in the nation, the No. 30 overall player in the United States, and a member of its JC All-America second team.
