2008: After battling injuries for five years, received a sixth season of eligibility and has become a productive receiver for the Bears ... in the season opener vs. Michigan State, hauled in four catches for 81 yards, including a career-long 42 yard reception in the second quarter to help Cal set up its second offensive TD ... caught his first career touchdown in the first quarter at Washington State, finishing the game with 23 yards on two receptions ... snared a career-best six catches for 55 yards at Arizona ... earned the Everett Merriman Award for the Cal player showing special academic commitment and improvement ... prior to this fall, underwent surgeries on both of his feet (severely sprained ligaments in his big toes) during separate years ... after discussing his options with his father, the coaching staff and his teammates (including younger brother Eddie, a junior linebacker), applied and received a sixth year of eligibility from the NCAA.

2007: Saw action in three games while battling injuries ... had his only reception of the year, a 19-yarder, against Louisiana Tech ... also played against Colorado State and Oregon State.

High School: Ranked No. 91 on's California Top 100 Players list ... also a SuperPrep magazine All-Far West selection and PrepStar All-West choice ... caught 19 passes for 443 yards and five touchdowns ... netted 324 yards and five TDs on 27 carries as a ball-carrier ... also rattled off another 360 yards and three touchdowns as a punt return specialist ... earned his league's MVP trophy and first-team all-league in 2002 ... chosen all-league after catching 14 passes for nearly 410 yards (25.6 avg.) and seven touchdowns as a junior ... named all-league in track and also competed in high school lacrosse and basketball.
