BERKELEY --- One week before the team's annual Big Meet against Stanford, the California track and field teams began the weekend by competing in a pair of Bay Area meets. 

The majority of the Golden Bears squads traveled to Palo Alto for the Stanford Invitational while a small group of distance runners headed ot San Francisco State for the SFSU Distance Carnival.

SECTIONAL SUCCESS

Bethan Knights (5000 Meters), Ashtyn Davis (110 Meter Hurdles) and Schantell Williams (400 Meter Hurdles) were able to shine at Stanford in the individual sections of their respective events.
