PULLMAN – Cal set three more pool records on day two of its dual meet with Washington State Saturday and emerged with the overall victory, 299.50-131.50.

Freshman Amy Bilquist started the run with a Gibb Pool record in the 50-yard free when she touched in 23.14. On Friday, Bilquist set a new standard in the 100 backstroke.

Later during the morning competition, senior Elizabeth Pelton, the American-record holder in the 200 back, lowered the pool mark in her specialty to 1:57.18. In addition, the foursome of Valerie Hull, Rachel Bootsma, Bilquist and Farida Osman finished off the meet with a pool record in the 200 free relay with a time of 1:32.76.

The Bears established three Gibb Pool marks Friday night among the 11 races contested.

On Saturday, Bilquist added a title in the 50 back (25.58), while Osman and Pelton joined her with two individual event wins apiece. Osman took the 50 fly (24.18) and 100 free (50.84), and Pelton claimed the 200 free (1:49.21) to go with her 200 back victory.

Other Bears to come out on top were Kelly Naze in the 200 individual medley (2:03.85), Celina LI in the 200 butterfly (2:00.12) and Marina Garcia in the 500 free (5:00.83).
