PULLMAN, Wash. - California senior Reshanda Gray went “Beast Mode” in Cal's Pac-12 road opener, scoring a game-high 24 points and pulling down a career-best 16 rebounds to lead the Golden Bears to a 70-62 victory against the Washington State Cougars.

The Bears (11-3) never trailed in the game, pushing their streak to 160 minutes without trailing in a game, and move to 3-0 in Pac-12 play for the second consecutive season.

Brittany Boyd had her fourth consecutive double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds to go with six assists, in the process moving to No. 6 on the Pac-12 all-time assists list with 620 dishes in her career. Freshman Gabby Green also scored 12 points after hitting four three-pointers in the game, going 4-of-7 from beyond the arc.

The Cougars (10-4, 1-2 Pac-12) dropped their second straight game and were led by Lia Galdeira's 16 points. The Bears were able to hold both of Washington State's leading scorers – Galdeira and Tia Presley (14 points) – below their season averages.

For the fourth consecutive game, California scored the opening basket and never looked back. The Bears opened the game on a 7-0 run over the first four minutes of the game before Cougars forward Shalie Dheensaw put WSU on the board with 16:03 remaining.

Washington State pulled within four points multiple times throughout the half before the Bears went into the break with a 35-27 lead.

After the Cougars cut it the Cal lead to just three points, 42-39, with 14:23 to go in the game, California raced out on an 8-0 run to earn their first double-digit lead of the game, 50-39. Cal's lead never went below six points the rest of the way as the Bears finished strong for the 70-62 win.

Cal heads to Seattle next to face the Washington Huskies. Tip-off is scheduled for 3 p.m. Sunday and will air live on the Pac-12 Networks.
