BERKELEY – Thousands of California fans made their way to Berkeley on Saturday for the second annual Golden Bear Day presented by Bug Zappers Pest Control on Lisa and Douglas Goldman Plaza. Fans got to mingle, take photos and receive autographs from over 300 student-athletes.

Representatives from nearly all of Cal’s 30 intercollegiate athletic programs were on hand during a beautiful summer day in which fans of all ages were able to show their support of Cal athletics, while student-athletes were able to express their appreciate for their fan base. Fans also had the opportunity engage in special activities such as face painting, temporary tattoos, and cheering along with Oski, the cheer and dance teams, and the Rally Committee.

Some of the teams had an interactive approach. The women's gymnastics team had a mat set up for kids to practice their tumbling techniques with the athletes, while women’s crew taught fans proper technique on a rowing machine.
