BERKELEY – Fans of all ages are invited to the second annual Golden Bear Day presented by Bug Zappers Pest Control where they can meet many of their favorite Cal student-athletes, take photos and get autographs. The event will take place from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 23 on Lisa and Douglas Goldman Plaza and on the concourse level of California Memorial Stadium. Admission is free.

More than 300 Golden Bears representing almost every one of Cal’s 30 intercollegiate athletic programs, including the entire Cal football team, will be present. In addition, Oski, the cheer and dance teams and the Rally Committee will be bringing their Golden Bear spirit to the afternoon. Special activities for kids include face painting, temporary tattoos and a photo station.

The first 2,000 fans in attendance will receive an exclusive 11x17 autograph card and the first 1,000 fans will receive Cal pompons.

Getting There
As always, fans are encourage to use public transportation when traveling to events on campus and traffic in the area may be heavier than usual due to the University’s move-in day for the fall semester.

Stadium Entry
Fans may enter Memorial Stadium from gates 2, 3, 4 or 5 on the west side of the facility. Entries are off Piedmont Avenue and adjacent to the Simpson Center.

Autograph Policies

  • Each fan is allowed to have one item autographed per team to ensure speed of lines
  • Photos may only be taken with student-athletes by front of table
  • Lines will be blocked starting at 3:30 p.m. to ensure the event ends promptly at 4 p.m.
  • Teams will be spaced throughout Lisa and Douglas Goldman Plaza and the Memorial Stadium concourse
