SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – The No. 4 Cal women’s water polo team outscored its opponents 59-3 in winning its first two games of the UC Santa Barbara Invitational on Friday.
The Bears (4-0) defeated Concordia 29-2 and then followed up with a 30-1 victory over Fresno Pacific.
Freshman Dora Antal scored four goals in each match to give her a team-high 17 for the season. Junior Victoria Williams combined for seven goals during the two games while sophomore Brooke Vowell scored three goals in each match. Freshmen Stephanie Mutafyan and Emily Loughlin each combined to score five goals in the two matches. It was the first goals of Loughlin’s career.
Meagan Smith also scored the first three goals of her career.
