Broussard is expected to return to action in 2014 and is listed as the starter at the middle linebacker (MIKE) position on the team’s preseason depth chart. Broussard missed all of his 2013 sophomore season and the team’s contact drills in the spring of 2014 with an injury suffered during training camp prior to the 2013 campaign. He showed promise as a redshirt freshman in 2012 when he saw the only action of his career, playing in 11 games with four starts and recording 18 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss (-23 yards), 3.0 sacks (-21 yards) and one quarterback hurry.
