CAL CAREER (Career Stats): Played in 48 of 50 possible games during his four seasons with the program from 2009-12, starting 36 of 37 possible contests over his final three campaigns ... started games at three different positions during his career, making 16 starts at left guard, 12 at center and eight at right guard ... also had one reception for three yards as well as one tackle.

2012 (Game-By-Game Stats): A first-team All-Pac-12 choice according to the league's coaches and a second-team All-Pac-12 pick of Phil Steele in his first season as the team's starting center ... added a pair of team honors by capturing the Brick Muller Award as Cal's Most Valuable Lineman and a Cort Majors Team Captain Award, both on offense ... one of only five Cal players to start each of the team's 12 games ... a preseason candidate for national and All-American honors, as well as the Rimington Trophy given to the nation's top center ... earned second-team preseason All-Pac-12 honors from Lindy's and Phil Steele ... the nation's No. 27 draft-eligible center prior to the season according to Phil Steele ... moved to center for the first time at Cal during spring practices after spending most of his collegiate career at guard.
