CAL RUGBY Played on a pair of collegiate national championship teams during his 2010 freshman and 2011 sophomore seasons ... received team academic recognition in both the fall of 2011 and spring of 2012.

DAVIS HS: A two-time All-Yolo County and All-Delta Valley League selection as a junior and senior in 2008 and 2009, also serving as a team captain in his senior campaign ... junior squad was 8-3 overall and made the San Joaquin Section playoffs for the first time in over a decade ... also had a couple of summer camp honors, being named among "players who impressed" at Oregon's Nike Sparq Camp in 2008 and was the Most Valuable Linebacker during a 2007 Cal summer camp ... a four-sport athlete as a prep who also played three seasons of both basketball and baseball, as well as one of rugby.
