CAL CAREER: Moved from quarterback to wide receiver during 2013 spring practices and after the workouts changed to his current uniform No. 17 from the No. 6 he wore his first two seasons at Cal.

2013: Started the spring at the quarterback position he entered Cal as but also saw time at the wide receiver position and moved full time to wide receiver following spring workouts … listed as one of three players sharing the No. 2 spot at the ‘H’ wide receiver position on the preseason depth chart.

2012: Did not play.

2011: Redshirted … did not play … listed prior to the season as the nation’s No. 17 freshman quarterback according to Phil Steele and the No. 18 national quarterback recruit by Athlon.

ARCHBISHOP MITTY HS: The nation's No. 7 pro-style quarterback recruit for the 2011 signing class according to Rivals and No. 10 by Tom Lemming ... checked in as the No. 17 quarterback nationally by Scout, No. 20 according to SuperPrep and No. 26 by ESPN ... listed among the nation's top players overall by Prepstar at No. 118, while earning SuperPrep All-America honors and being listed as the organization's No. 28 player overall in California/Hawaii/Nevada ... checked in as the No. 31 player overall in the state of California by Rivals ... a four-star prospect according to Scout, while Rivals and ESPN gave him three stars ... completed 95-of-145 passes (67.7%) for 1,386 yards and 10 touchdowns to lead the Western Catholic Athletic League in passing as a senior in 2010, while adding 596 yards rushing and 15 touchdowns on the ground over 129 carries to be named the WCAL Player of the Year, first-team All-WCAL and Team MVP … also a San Jose Mercury News first-team All-WCAL pick as a senior and an Athlete of the Week selection by the media outlet in September ... earned WCAL Co-Player of the Year, first-team All-WCAL, second-team All-San Jose Mercury News, Rivals second-team All-Central Coast Section, and Team MVP on offense as a 2009 junior when he led his squad to a share of the WCAL title with a 6-0-1 conference mark and a 9-1-1 overall record ... posted big rushing numbers with 877 yards and 14 touchdowns on the ground over 149 carries as a junior, while completing 59-of-117 passes for 936 yards with eight touchdowns and four interceptions … tied WCAL records for least interceptions in a single season when he did not throw one as a senior and with the highest completion percentage in a game, also during his senior campaign, when he connected on all 13 of his passes in an exhilarating and dramatic 33-32 win over league rival Sacred Heart Cathedral … a member of his school’s honor roll in each of his last two campaigns.
