AS A JUNIOR (2013):

- Has been named a first-team Preseason All-American by Baseball America, Cal's first, first-team Preseason All-American since Brett Jackson in 2009
- Was outstanding this past summer playing for the Chatham Anglers in the Cape Cod League, batting .293 with 13 doubles, eight home runs and 29 RBI in 40 games




AS A SOPHOMORE (2012):

- Batted .265 (56-for-211, .237 vs. Pac-12) with 16 doubles, five home runs and 26 RBI
- Hit home runs in three straight games April 17-21 versus Santa Clara and Utah
- Had a career-high 11-game hitting streak from Feb. 28-March 17
- Had 13 multiple hit games on the year and had doubles in four straight games Feb. 28-March 4
- Hit team's first home run of the 2012 season Feb. 18 at Pacific




AS A FRESHMAN (2011):

- Batted .212 (14-for-66, .286 vs. Pac-10) with three doubles, a home run and 15 RBI
- Had a clutch three-run pinch-hit double in the eighth inning May 20 at UCLA
- Went 4-for-8 with two RBI April 15-18 at Washington
- Hit a three-run homer Feb. 26 vs. North Carolina State
- In first collegiate game went 1-for-3 with a double and two RBI
- Batted .360 (9-for-25) with runners in scoring position




HIGH SCHOOL/PERSONAL:

- In the summer of 2011 was selected a member of Perfect Game's Summer Collegiate All-America Team, leading the Northwoods League in hitting with a .500 average while hitting five home runs with 33 RBI
- A switch-hitting catcher who batted .500 at Granite Bay High School with 10 doubles, three triples, six home runs and 37 RBI, earning 2009 Maxpreps Junior Player of the Year honors
- Named Sierra Foothill League MVP, Sacramento All-City and Sacramento Area All-Metro
- Was drafted in the 42nd round by the Oakland A's in 2010
- Son of Mike Knapp, a standout catcher for the Bears during 1985 and '86 seasons
- Younger brother, Aaron, has signed a National Letter of Intent to play baseball at Cal next season
- Parents are Mike and Julie Knapp
- Born November 9, 1991
