NATIONAL/INTERNATIONAL SUCCESS

  • Represented USA at the 2013 World University Games, earning a bronze medal with the 400-meter medley relay team, which finished with a time of 4:02.71. Also placed fourth in the 50 back (28.45) and fifth in the 100 back (1:01.32)
  • Reached the finals in two events at the 2013 U.S. National Championships, taking sixth in the 50 back (28.88) and seventh in the 50 fly (27.08), as well as 16th in the 100 back (1:02.74)
  • Competed in both the 100 and 200 back at the 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials, reaching the semifinals in the 100 back
  • Vied for spots on the Olympic team in the same two events in 2008
  • At the ConocoPhillips USA Swimming National Championships in August 2011, finished seventh in the 100-meter backstroke (1:01.35)
  • Swam for the NCSA All-Star Team at the 2010 Irish Long-Course Swimming Championships, taking second in the 50-meter back (29.95) and 10th in the 200 back (2:29.94)
  • At the AT&T Short Course National Championships in December 2010, swam the backstroke leg of the winning 200-yard medley relay (1:36.79) and placed fourth in the 100 back (52.90)

CALIFORNIA SUCCESS

  • A two-time NCAA champion in the 100-yard back, winning titles in both 2011 and 2012
  • Entered 2013-14 ranked sixth in Cal history in both the 100 back (51.62) and 200 back (1:53.24)
  • Placed 5th in the 100 back at the 2013 NCAA Championships with a time of 51.92. Also finished among the top five with three of Cal’s relay teams at the 2013 NCAAs – second place in the 200 medley relay (1:35.53), third in the 400 medley relay (3:29.47) and fifth in the 200 free relay (1:28.31)
  • At the 2013 Pac-12 Championships, took second in the 100 back (51.43) and third in the 100 fly (52.02). In addition, was a member of three Cal relays – 200 medley relay (4th, 1:36.62), 400 medley relay (2nd, 3:30.18) and 200 free relay (3rd, 1:28.79)
  • Captured the 100 back at the 2012 NCAA meet with a time of 50.31. Also swam the backstroke leg on Cal’s winning 200 medley relay (1:34.24) and 400 medley relay (3:28.10), with both setting school, U.S. Open, pool and Pac-12 records. In addition, placed ninth in the 100 fly (50.31) and 18th in the 200 back (1:54.83)
  • Won the 100 back at the 2012 Pac-12 Championships with a time of 50.65 and was a member of Cal’s victorious 200 medley relay (1:36.77) and 400 medley relay (3:28.26). Also took third in the 100 fly (52.09) and ninth in the 200 back (1:54.28)
  • Capped a stellar first year with multiple 2011 NCAA championships - the team title, 200 medley relay (American- and NCAA-record 1:35.03) and 400 medley relay (school- and pool-record 3:28.53) crowns and 100 back (51.30) title.
  • At 2011 Pac-10s, won the 100 back with the then-second-fastest time in school history (51.22) behind Natalie Coughlin's 49.97. Also took ninth in the 100 fly (52.68) and swam the backstroke legs of the Pac-10-winning 200 (1:35.62) and 400 (3:28.99) MRs

HIGH SCHOOL/CLUB SUCCESS

  • All-American broke Natalie Coughlin's 1998 national high school record in the 100-yard back with a winning time of 51.85 at the CIF-SS Division I Championships
  • Also snapped Coughlin's 1998 U.S. national 15-16 age-group record in the 100-yard back with a time of 52.52
  • Swam for the Golden West Coast Swim Club
  • At the 2010 NCSA Junior National Championships, won the 200-yard back (1:56.16), took second in the 100 back (53.59), finished second in the 50 back (24.56) and placed ninth in the 50 freestyle (23.50)
  • Took sixth with GWSC's 400-meter free relay at the 2009 Speedo Junior National Championships
