CAL CAREER: Changed to his current No. 48 uniform after he wore No. 98 during his first season with the program in 2012 and in 2013 spring practices.

JUNIPERO SERRA HS: A first-team All-San Mateo County and honorable mention All-West Catholic Athletic League selection as well as Team Most Improved Player as a 2011 senior on a Central Coast Section Division I championship squad that finished 11-2 overall … played tight end, defensive end/outside linebacker and long snapper … contributed four receptions for 95 yards including a diving catch in the back of the end zone in a playoff game against Milpitas, as well as seven tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss and 1.0 sack on the defensive side of the ball … also played baseball and basketball, earning second-team All-Peninsula honors on the diamond as a 2012 senior when he was 4-1 with an 0.45 ERA and struck out 18 batters in 27.2 innings of work for a team that won the WCAL title when he pitched 6.0 scoreless innings in the league championship game … hoops team was a Central Coast Section runner-up during his 2011-12 senior year … the class spirit commissioner of his senior class.
