Parker has been honored for his work with the team on several occasions, most recently at the 2011 Holiday Bowl when, by a vote of Cal’s players, he was awarded with the Admiral’s Trophy symbolizing unselfish commitment, motivation and teamwork. He also received two prestigious honors for his efforts during the 2009 season, being selected as the team’s recipient of the Everett Merriman Award for his commitment to community service, as well as the Wishes-Come-True Inspirational Award presented at a banquet in San Diego the day before the Poinsettia Bowl.
Parker played tailback and wide receiver at Oregon, twice being named the Ducks’ Most Inspirational Player. He spent the 2001 season with the Detroit Fury of the Arena Football League.
Parker earned his bachelor’s degree in sociology from Oregon in 1999.
He has been married his to wife Melissa since 2005. Parker has three sons, Kevin II, Kevion and Jayden, and a stepson, Larry White.
