CAL CAREER (Career Stats): Played in all 28 games possible off the bench during the 2010 and 2011 seasons as well as the first three contests of 2012 before the streak ended when he suffered a season-ending injury in the third game of 2012 at Ohio State … spent four-plus seasons as a player in the Cal program from 2009 into the team’s 2013 training camp … contributed 12 receptions for 94 yards and two touchdown catches, with all of his receiving stats coming in 2011 … spent time at both tight end and wide receiver throughout his playing career, playing two seasons of wide receiver in 2009 and 2010 before moving to tight end in 2011 and 2012 and back to wide receiver to start the 2013 season.

2013: Practiced for the first five days of training camp with the team … announced his retirement from football on Sept. 3 … missed spring practices due to injury. 

2012 (Game-by-Game Stats): Played in the team’s first three games off the bench before suffering a season-ending injury at Ohio State … had a memorable 40-yard touchdown reception from Zach Kline that proved to be the winning margin in a 21-20 Gold victory over Blue in the spring game.

2011 (Game-by-Game Stats): Played in all 13 games off the bench and posted the first receiving stats of his career, catching 12 passes for 94 yards and two touchdowns … caught a 16-yard touchdown pass from Zach Maynard for his first career reception vs. Presbyterian and added another score on a three-yard toss from Maynard that accounted for key points early in the fourth quarter of a 31-28 loss at Stanford … posted career highs of four catches and 30 receiving yards at Oregon … had seven catches, 48 receiving yards and a touchdown reception over his final three contests, including three grabs for 23 yards in the regular-season finale at Arizona State, and two catches both vs. Oregon State (18 yards) and at Stanford (seven yards, TD).

2010 (Game-by-Game Stats): Played in all 12 contests off the bench primarily on special teams.

2009: Redshirted … did not play ... named one of two Scout Team Players of the Year on special teams.

CAPITAL CHRISTIAN HS: Ranked as the No. 2 receiver in Northern California by ESPN ... finished with career varsity totals of 145 receptions and 2,629 receiving yards, both all-time school records ... caught 54 passes for 1,018 yards and 13 touchdowns in his 2008 senior campaign after catching 52 balls for 928 yards and eight TDs as a 2007 junior, and making 39 receptions for 683 yards and six scores in his 2006 sophomore season ... earned first-team All-State honors as a senior by both Rivals and MaxPreps, while also being named second-team All-City by the Sacramento Bee ... selected to play in the The Holiday Classic All-Star Game pitting the top players from Sacramento and the East Bay following his senior season ... earned All-Golden Empire League and All-City recognition as well as All-Academic honors in both his 2007 junior and 2008 senior campaigns while leading his squad to back-to-back playoff appearance, as well as the Sac-Joaquin Section title game as a junior ... a National Gatorade Scholar-Athlete award winner as a junior.

OTHER: Full name is Spencer Allan Hagan ... born February 19, 1991 ... parents are Scott and Karen Hagan ... the youngest of four siblings, including brother Kramer, who spent time on the football team at Azusa Pacific ... married to the former Breana Collins … major is interdisciplinary studies.
