Fall 2013: Notched a 9-4 doubles record and a 0-1 singles mark… started off with a 5-0 doubles record with Gregory Bayane, as the two capture the doubles title at the USTA/ITA Northwest Regional Championships in Moraga, Calif.…the duo ended the fall with two losses at the USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships in New York.

Spring 2013: Melton, who posted a 5-7 singles record, made his mark in doubles mostly pairing with Gregory Bayane. He had an overall doubles record of 15-11 and a 12-7 record with Bayane, including 12-6 at No. 3 doubles. Melton and Bayane’s 8-6 victory over Virginia’s 89th-ranked Ryan Shane/Julen Uriguen was Cal’s lone win in the NCAA round of 16.

Fall 2012: Posted a 4-0 singles record and a 3-3 doubles record, including a quarterfinal doubles finish with Campbell Johnson in the Pacific Tigers Invitational.

Spring 2012: Completed his sophomore season with a 6-9 singles record and a 5-5 doubles record...selected to play in the NCAA round of 64.

Fall 2011: Earned four singles victories...advanced to the singles quarterfinal of the Fresno State Bulldog Classic and to the singles round of 32 at the USTA/ITA Northwest Regional Championship...teamed with Riki McLachlan to move into the Northwest Regional Championship doubles round of 16...advanced to the doubles semifinal of the Battle in the Bay Classic with Tommie Murphy.

2010-11: Did not see action in his redshirt freshman season.

Personal/Previous: Born Nov. 1, 1991, in Santa Barbara, Calif.... parents are Art and Sally Melton; both graduated from Cal in 1976...has three older siblings: Heidi, Christin and Austin...named the Channel League's Most Valuable Player twice...selected as Santa Barbara High School's Most Inspirational Player four years.
