Fall 2013: Entering the season with a No. 27 ranking in the ITA preseason singles poll, McLachlan officially posted a 0-1 singles record and did not play in doubles against collegiate competition…he garnered a No. 41 ITA preseason doubles ranking with teammate Mads Engsted…at the Napa Valley Challenger, he fell to pro player Alex Kuznetsov in the round of 32…he compiled a 1-1 singles mark and, with Filip Bergevi, posted a 0-1 doubles record in the Tiburon Challenger.

Spring 2013: Cal’s No. 1 singles player, McLachlan led Cal to the round of 16 in the NCAA team tournament and reached the NCAA singles round of 64 last season. The Queenstown, New Zealand, native posted a 19-18 singles record and 21-12 doubles record last year, when he finished ranked No. 44 in singles and No. 82 in doubles with Mads Engsted.

Fall 2012: Compiled an 8-4 singles record and an 8-2 doubles record, including a 7-1 doubles record playing with his brother and teammate, Riki McLachlan...Ben McLachlan won the singles title and paired with Riki won the doubles title at the USTA/ITA Northwest Regional Championship...the McLachlans reached the doubles quarterfinal round of the USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships.

Spring 2012: Completed his season with a 26-12 overall record in singles...ranked No. 37 in singles...advanced to the round of 16 in the ITA MTI tournament... won six consecutive singles match in the month of March and April... named California Muscle Milk Student Athlete of the Week on the month of April when he went undefeated 2-0 to help Golden bears open Pac-12 play...claimed a 25-10 overall record in doubles playing at No. 2 with Carlos Cueto and finishing with a No.66 doubles ranking...reached the round of 16 in the NCAA Championship tournament.

Fall 2011: Won three matches at the Olympia Fields Fighting Illini Invitational...earned three wins at ITA All-American qualifying to earn an automatic berth in the All-American main draw...advanced to the USTA/ITA Northwest Regional singles title match by defeating two top 30 opponents in the quarterfinal and semifinal rounds...earned automatic bid to All-American doubles main draw with Carlos Cueto by winning three qualifying matches...reeled off six consecutive doubles wins to claim USTA/ITA Northwest Regional championship with Cueto and earn automatic berth into ITA Indoor Championships...advanced to round of 16 at indoor championships and concluded fall season with 12-4 doubles record.

Spring 2011: Concluded freshman season with 16 singles wins and 15 doubles wins... won seven of first nine dual singles matches... earned 11 doubles victories in duals with six different partners... earned first collegiate ranking on Feb. 14 at No. 74 in doubles with Pedro Zerbini.

Fall 2010: Secured five singles victories to open his freshman campaign... advanced to the USTA/ITA Northwest Regional singles round of 32... advanced to the Northwest Regional doubles round of 16 with Bozhidar Katsarov... advanced to the doubles final of the Battle in the Bay Classic with Riki McLachlan.

Personal/Previous: Interdisciplinary studies major...born May 6, 1992, in Queenstown, New Zealand... parents are Craig and Yuriko McLachlan... brother Riki is a player for the Cal men's tennis team.
