California Finishes 17th at Liz Murphey Fall Preview

ATHENS, Ga. - The University of California Golden Bear women's golf team finished the final of the Liz Murphey Fall Preview by shooting a 304, which was just enough for them to climb the rankings to 17th in the tournament. Sophomore Morgan Thompson paced the Bears, shooting 223 (77, 74, 72) and tying her for 30th in the field. Her final round score of 72 was a season best.

Senior Jacqueline Williams led the Bears through two days, but finished the tournament tied for 40th in the field with a 226 (76, 73, 77) after a final round 77. Fellow senior Joi Pentin finished tied for 53rd in the field, posting a score of 228 (77, 74, 77). Junior Nicola Roessler struggled in her final nine to finish with a score of 234 (76, 80, 78). Freshman Hannah Suh, who led the Bears in their victory at the Cougar Cup on September 24th and 25th finished with a 235 (78, 79, 78). Complete scores from today's action can be found at
