BOULDER, Colo. - Playing from behind for the first time in four games, the No. 15 California women's soccer team responded resiliently - scoring three unanswered goals to emerge victoriously 3-2 in overtime at Colorado.

The Buffs jumped to a quick 2-0 lead before Ifeoma Onumonu knotted that with two scores of her own. Just 1:33 into the first overtime period, Lauren Battung scored her second overtime gamewinner of the year. Cal ups its winning streak to four games and its Pac-12 winning streak to three, which is the most consecutive conference games won since 2007.

"It felt amazing to help the team accomplish something that it hasn't in five years and to reward my teammates for showing character after going down 2-0 early in the game," Battung said. "I look forward to what this team can accomplish if we continue to show heart and be more consistent with our soccer."

Cal outshot Colorado 15-8. Cal keeper Emily Kruger made two stops in 92 minutes of play while CU goalie Annie Brunner had five saves but three allowed goals.

"We are very pleased with the win, especially considering we were down by two goals very early," Cal head coach Neil McGuire said. "We must credit Coach Sanchez and the Colorado team as they prepared very well for us and were the better first-half team. Once we settled, we played well. Our team showed no fear in overtime and Lauren's goal was a world-class one from 25 yards."

Onumonu now leads the Bears with seven scores. Battung has two of Cal's 10 game-winning goals.

8:59 - Colorado 1, Cal 0:

Amy Barzcuk headed the ball in with Quinn Krier assisting.

13:29 - Colorado 2, Cal 0:

On a free kick, Anne Stuller gave her Buffs a two-goal advantage.

22:11 - Colorado 2, Cal 1:

With a scrum in the goal mouth, the Bears fired off several shots before Ifeoma Onumonu kicked the ball on the ground to the back right side.

62:14 - Cal 2, Colorado 2:

Onumonu scored with Kaitlyn Fitzpatrick and Emi Lawson assisting.

"I was right where I was supposed to be," Onumonu said. "Fitz crossed it in on the corner kick and Emi dished off a great header."

91:33 - Cal 3, Colorado 2:

Lauren Battung scored less than two minutes into the overtime.

"Ariana Martinez the ball and found me on the weak side," Battung said. "I had a lot of space in isolation with the right back. The center mid was recovering quickly, so I took a shot from distance and it dropped right under the crossbar."

Next Time on the Pitch:

Cal now heads to Salt Lake City for a Sunday, Oct. 7 tilt against the Utes (7-2-2, 2-1-0 Pac-12).
