PALM SPRINGS, Calif. - Campbell Johnson won the singles title and teamed with senior Christoffer Konigsfeldt to win the doubles title for No. 14 California on Sunday in the National Collegiate Tennis Classic at the JW Marriott Desert Springs.
The Golden Bear duo knocked off KU Singh/Nathan Pasha of sixth-ranked Georgia, 8-7(4), to wrap up the NCTC with three wins and the doubles championship.
In singles, Konigsfeldt beat Georgia's Hernus Pieters, 6-4, 6-4. While Johnson did not play in singles on Sunday, he still earned the championship after posting wins on the first two days of the event.
Cal next hosts No. 20 Michigan, No. 36 Santa Clara and No. 38 Boise State in the ITA Kick-Off Weekend from Jan. 25-26 in Berkeley.
